The Solent Half is our half marathon held in the Autumn.  The event has been going for over 30 years.  It is a friendly race with up to 500 entries and a lovely course winding through the New Forest around Exbury and along the Solent shore at Lepe.

2021 race cancelled - we'll be back in 2022

With long lead times, upfront costs of over £5,000 and no definite news about whether or how racing will be possible, we have reluctantly decided that we must cancel the 2021 Solent Half Marathon.  Sorry.  We'll be back in September 2022.

2019 Race - Sunday 22 September 2019

A bit of drizzle did not dampen the spirits of over 400 runners and nearly 100 volunteers.  Thank you very much to everyone, organisers, helpers, marshals, bakers, runners and supporters who turned out to make the eventa great success.  Well done all and many thanks.

The provisional results are here.

Please let us know if you spot any discrepancies.  The times for the last few runners are not included at the time of publishing this link but I'm sure that will be corrected.

The race is run through the New Forest which is shared by lots of horses, cows, pigs and other animals. Please respect this, and make sure you give these animals space if you see them stampeding.
