Our Hardley Runners Calendar includes most of the events Hardley Runners are likely to enter.  If there's anything you'd like added please ask Tamsin Roberts who keeps the calendar up to date.

You can show week, month or just the days with something on using the tabs on the top right.  And the little drop down arrow to the right of the tabs enables you to show/hide public holidays.  Click on an event to read more about it.  Event details can change so please always check websites for final details.  And if you find something that's incorrect please let us know so we can update the entry.

Update as at Weds 17 March.

The Salisbury 10 has already been cancelled and we can expect more cancellations as we all work towards slowing the spread of coronavirus and protecting the vulnerable members of our community.  Information about our regular events is below but we are not publshing any information about individual races at present.  The advice from England Athletics isthat all face-to-face activity such as club training sessions, competitions, club committee and face-to-face meetings, running groups and social events should be suspended until at least the end of April.

HRRL - Salisbury 10 - Cancelled

The race has been cancelled because of coronavirus.  This is sad news but our safety and that of people more vulnerable than us must come first.

RR10 Series

RR10s are by far the most popular events with our members.  The RR10 league is a series of races organised by running clubs in south-west Hampshire for their members. The races are held on Wednesday evenings during the spring and summer.  Entry is free for all members. All of the races are 4-5 miles off-road. The standard of runners varies from 5-minute milers to 12+ minute milers so, however fast you are, there will always be someone to compete with or just enjoy a run together if that's what you prefer. The only requirement is to wear a Hardley vest on the night and there are usually some for sale at the race for £15 or £17 for a tee-shirt so please do give the series a try. There is usually a lift share from the Applemore car park.

The league has become very popular with record numbers attending so for the 2016 season onwards there have been some minor changes to accommodate more people.  There will be 12 races with each club dropping out on two so each club will take part in 10 races including one as organiser as at present.

Every runner will still have nine races to compete in, of which their best six will count for the league position, as in previous years.  But your overall score is based on the percentage of people you are ahead of.

Please do not attend our drop out races as a spectator!

Personal music players with earphones are not allowed during RR10 races. It is very important that marshals' instructions can be heard at all times, and some runners have complained about being blocked on narrow parts of a course by runners unaware that someone was coming up behind them.

Hants Road Race League

The Hampshire Road Race League (HRRL) is an annual series of road races for all runners from participating clubs in the County.  We field two men's teams (four per team) and two ladies' teams (three per team).  Club members who take part in the events are automatically members of the teams if they finish high enough up the field.  For some of the events where we are not well represented you may find you are in the team just by turning up!

The fixture list for the 2019/20 season is as follows. These races almost always sell out well in advance.  If you'd like to enter then don't delay.  If you find you aren't able to take part then you will be able to dispose of your entry on the HRRL number swaps FB page (see Links tab above)

Cross Country

There are two main series of events where we field teams - the CC6s and the Hampshire League.

The CC6s are now a series of 8 races held over the winter period on cross country courses (lots of lovely mud :-) ). Each course is between 4 and 5 miles (most around 4.5 miles) and is hosted by one or more clubs so that everyone is able to run 7 out of the 8 races. They are free for club members and the only requirement is that you run in club colours, please contact me if you need a Hardley Vest or T-Shirt.

Our CC6 Captains, Hannah, Lee and Roger, will email you leading up to each event with more information on courses, conditions, etc.  They will also be emailing to ask for your help with the marshaling and setting up of our own race at Dibden Inclosure on 24th November.   The CC6s are always great fun and I will hopefully see many of you there. Please note that as parking can be very limited at these venues I would like to request that you try to car share wherever possible, thank you.

You can find out more about these races by visiting the CC6 website (see links page).  The 2018/19 fixture list is below.  All races start at 9.30am.
