Exbury10K

The Exbury 10K is a flat and fast circular course run over country lanes which starts and finishes at Exbury Gardens, taking in spectacular views of the Solent and includes approximately 500 metres of beach front running on the foreshore path at Lepe Beach. Note the start is at an altitude of about 20 metres. The course goes gently down to Lepe which is at sea level and then back up to the start so maybe it is not exactly flat but it's pretty flat.

Well you took that bit of rain in your stride. Not to mention the hail in km7! Thanks very much to everyone, runners, marshals and Exbury staff alike, for your cheerfulness and good humour in the face of some pretty nasty conditions.

Background information

Instructions to competitors The main difference from last year is that this year we have chip timing. We won't be sending out numbers and chips in advance; you'll need to collect them between 8.15 and 9.15 from Mr Eddy's tearoom.

We have a limited number of Exbury Gardens 10k fluorescent hats for sale at just £5 each. Also flourescent technical running Tee shirts at £8 in small, medium, large and extra large. They are great if you are marshalling at any race or want to avoid being hit by cars while running on roads. Just click on the pictures to see bigger ones. Aren't they wonderful and as this is a limited edition they will probably be a better hedge against inflation than keeping the money in the bank. What is more you get a reduction to £11 for the pair if you buy both. They will be on sale at the information tent at Exbury on raceday but pre-orders are accepted, for collection on the day, as there are only a limited number available.
